The Gameplay Chapter 2
Avalon is a game based on single as well as multi-player quests that involve solving puzzles and riddles, finding hidden objects essential for progression within the game, assisting citizens of the kingdom with tasks in order to collect tokens and points, and fighting enemies and monsters to gain wealth and protection.Additionally, players will enjoy a wide selection of exciting player-vs-player (PVP) contests options incuding one-on-one combats and/or multiplayer battles. You can fight your opponent(s) either on the ground in the main arena, or in the sky while flying on your fearless dragon.
Valuable chests will appear at random times and locations within the game for players to collect. These rare chests will generally spawn outside of the main paths to ensure that only the most adventurous and curious of players who explore the corners and hideaways of Avalon enjoy their rewards. The content of these chests include scarce tresures and resources that can be exchanged for food or other assets, used to craft tools or magic potions, or simply to upgrade your character and/or weapon.
The health and energy of your character can be replenished by harvesting grains, finding wild berries, or searching for honey combs in the forest, or simply by purchasing food items within the marketplace in exchange for tokens or assets.
The deep and dark corners of Avalon are home to frightful spiders who players can fight in an attemp to secure their venum. This venum can be used to craft poisons which can later be utilized against your enemies and opponents in battles and raids.
As characters progress through the game, they are able to gain up to 8 unique skills which will later prove crucial when participating in riddles, raids and battles. These skills include super speed, regenerative healing of character and its teammates from injury, throwing fireballs/ice spears, raining arrows on enemy, lockpicking, taming animals to assist in fights, invisibility, and more.
Players can participate in weekly tournaments and raids where the winning characters will be rewarded with unique upgrades and embellishments which will provide them with visible recognition as champions. The visibility of their accomplishment within Avalon will in turn allow these players to be recruited into other teams of players in exchange for tokens and benefits offered by the members of the recruiting teams.
A crystal and ore mining system will allow players to gather these essential elements as needed in upgrading their weapons and equiping their character(s) with skills and powers that will prove useful during battles and raids.
Players will explore vast mountainous areas in search of secret riches or enemy camps to raid. Hidden within the ladnscapes are dark caves where extremely rare treasures such as Dragon Egg NFTs can be found.
Players can choose between the fantasy storyline of King Arthur or our educational storyline where the names of characters (templars, duirds, etc.), buildings and locations are accurately represented based on real-world history. This allows for Avalon to also be a play-to-learn game.
Players will be able to take advantage of item crafting (weapons and tools) and horse breeding systems (to create their own means of transportation within the game).
Team work and extensive exploration of the lands within the game will often be rewarded with rare NFT items such as bows, swords, shields, and/or amulets.
Even though the vast world of Avalon may be explored on foot, some players may find it challenging or slow. To expedite travelling within the game, multiple means of transportation including horses and dragons, as well as sea mounts will be introduced at various intervals within the game.
Teleportation portals will be a top favorite transportation medium for players who wish to traverse from one side of the kingdom to another in the blink of an eye. These portals may be used by paying a small fee which will in turn save players a great deal of travel time.
Owner of Mythical Character and Building NFTs will benefit from NFT customization, branding and labeling advantages. This includes, for instance, a player's choice of logo engraved on their character's cape or a guild's nameplate displayed at the entrance of their NFT horse stable.
